FAVORITE AWS MEMORY
My favorite AWS memories are during relay races. Whether it’s tic tac toe, throwing relays, or base running. I love when the girls get to compete and we get to hype them up along the way. As a competitive girl myself, the team building aspect of relying on your girls to win is a huge part of the game.

FAVORITE SOFTBALL MEMORY
My favorite softball memory has got to be my very first year playing varsity softball. I was in 8th grade and terrified of playing with all the upperclassmen. But my team and my coach eased the tension, I played with a smile, and the confidence I got carried through my entire career.

FAVORITE TOPIC TO TEACH AND WHY
My favorite topic to teach is baserunning and bunting. I was never the biggest, strongest girl on the team. I am a contact hitter and quick on my feet. I bunt for base hits, and run out ground balls. I love giving the confidence I got from bunting to the girls.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING SOFTBALL
There is an extensive list of my favorite things about coaching. One of those things is being someone that can bring up a girls confidence. I love being someone that can translate “big ideas” into little adjustments. Showing them that maybe their whole swing doesn’t have to change, but maybe their mindset should. A girl is a lot better when she believes it.

FUNNY/INTERESTING FACTS (NOT SOFTBALL RELATED)
Facts about me: I’m a HUGE nerd. Proudly. I’m top 10 in my class, with an overall GPA of 100.31. I am also my class president, so I run all of our fundraisers and oversee planning for things like prom. I also participate in Model UN and Science Olympiad, competing at the regional level for both. I will also be earning a regents diploma with honors distinction.

FUNNY/INTERESTING FACTS (SOFTBALL RELATED)
Facts about me that are softball related: I have actually been playing since I could walk. Even my first memories I have a bat in my hands. Softball has taken me to my favorite cities like Chicago, Kansas City, Ocean city, Nashville, St.Louis and many more. I’m a center fielder, but this past varsity season I tried my hand at catching and pitching.

ALYSSA’S HOBBIES
My hobbies include lifting and strength training. I love making myself feel strong and I think it plays a big part in my confidence. I also enjoy reading!
