My 'WHY'

I’ve been coaching for 11 years, I’ve been a ballplayer for at least double that, and I truly love what I do.

I feel very privileged to have started to coach years ago when it wasn’t so mainstream so I can truly say I have watched this sport and our girl squad grow from a front-row seat.

I love working with both the young girls and my college girls that inspire me daily, are masters at their craft, and push me to be better every day! We also have been known to have a laugh or two. Seeing these girls come full circle just seriously gives me all the feels.

But, here is my ‘why.’

Growing up I was super shy and TBH I wasn’t very good at softball. I started travel late and had a tough time catching up. Luckily, I had some really amazing coaches who not only taught me confidence on the field, but off the field too.

Later, I actually went to school to become an FBI Agent. I knew at an early age that I wanted to help people (and be a total badass). I try to accomplish both daily.

What changed my mind about my career was working with your daughters. Once I started, and my clients became family, I just couldn’t give up this feeling that I was changing the world, one softball player at a time.

Devastatingly, I broke my foot off my leg the second day of my Freshman season at college. Doctors told me I would never run normally again and they had to reattach my foot, and after 9 months of rehab, I came back and found a way onto the field any way I could. It’s a great reminder that nothing in this life is promised. During my greatest time of need my softball community and family was there for me and I’ll never forget that.

My passion now in life is to help girls realize their full potential and to find confidence both on and off the softball field. I made a personal commitment years ago to always bring positive motivation and encouragement to my girls & it brings me such joy to be able to do so!

I always want your daughters to know (even girls that I may have coached years ago) that I’ll always be their second biggest fan, behind you of course!

Thank you all for your support over the years, I wouldn’t be here without any of you.
